60 students from MHS and LCSD got a closer look at some of the health care programs offered at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø as a part of a unique day-long camp, Experience the O.N.E. - Occupations Not Usually Explored by Men.

In 1975, Debroah Stokes became the first Black nursing instructor in Meridian when she began teaching at the now-closed Matty Hersee School of Nursing.  Later, in 1980, she became the first Black nursing professor at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø.
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's Precision Machining Engineering Technology Program is forging a relationship with Ingersoll Cutting Tools, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of standard and special indexable cutting tools.
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Associate Degree Nursing Program graduate Hannah Kennedy received the Hurst Review NCLEX® Scholarship.
The donation will help scholarship students who do not qualify for total federal aid and assist with other non-covered scholarships. In addition, the grant can also be used to purchase small tools for students as gifts from the Gene Haas Foundation.
